Santa Ponsa is not a new player within the tourism industry of Mallorca. It has invested heavily in tourism since the late 1970´s with the town hall of the city playing a major role in the constant upgrading of the area and promoting it as a top destination for the European market. Today there are over 35 Hotels in the area catering mainly to the British and Irish. There are also some German clients and more recently the area has seen some holiday makers from Scandinavia and The Netherlands, although in more modest numbers.

It is located in a privileged area of Majorca which is blessed with an award winning beach with fantastic views, and due to it´s relatively close proximity to Palma and the airport and also beauty spots such as Valldemossa and Deya being not far away, it really is a destination to rival the best.

The Santa Ponsa summer season starts at the beginning of May every year and runs through to the end of October and Holiday Park Santa Ponsa reflects that very well.

There are some hotels open during the Winter months of the year that cater mainly to older Spanish tourists and also organised groups such as cyclists and walkers, who are looking for a tranquil stay. There are only a few businesses that remain open during these months and Santa Ponsa is very quiet although it still remains home to a number of ex-pats and locals alike.

During the summer Santa Ponsa is a relaxed, laid back beach resort which also enjoys plenty of bars, pubs, live music venus, restaurants, night clubs and shops that cater to the tourists.

It is an area that is strongly protected by the police and represents a safe area with only a few minor crimes thanks to the local authorities and again the heavy investments made in the industry.

Santa Ponsa remains one of the top destinations of the Balearics visited by 1000´s of tourists, many coming year after year to enjoy the winning cocktail of sun, sea, sand, good food and friendly people all in a safe environment.
